Tournament in Charleston, SC

Dear Squash friends,

Charleston Squash Club are excited to extend this invitation for you to enter this year’s tournament.

Although we are doing the tournament a couple of weeks earlier this year, 28th-30th April, we hope that it will still fit in to your calendar.

Alongside the Invitational this year, we will be showcasing a ‘Cash Prize’, 8 player Pro Invitational event, of which players will be battling for! There should be some very exciting squash!

Please read the below itinerary for the weekend and also the attached information and entry form and mailing instructions;

Those of you that can, please make a long weekend out of this and arrive on Thursday morning to take advantage of one of the rounds of golf at beautiful Kiawah Island Club on the Thursday afternoon.

Similarly to last year, there will be a round of golf at Bulls Bay Golf and Country Club at 9am, TBD, a successful part of last year’s tournament of which there will be an additional fee of $100. This will include cart fee, all food, refreshments   and transport can be available too. Squash play will begin at approximately 2.30-3pm on Friday which will then move on to our Cocktail reception held at the beautiful Charleston harbor house of one of our kind members, food provided.

Saturday is all about the Squash! Food and beverages provided throughout the day starting off with ‘Brueggers Bagels’ and their fantastic breakfast and coffee. Then ‘Ted’s Butcher Block’ will be doing their stuff at the club on the Grill once again over the lunch period. Squash will carry us onwards to the evening meal at ‘Magnolias’ restaurant downtown Charleston on East Bay Street, for a sumptuous four course meal. Party people are then most welcome to explore Charleston’s nightlife to end the evening!

Sunday finals play starts at 8am until around Noon and then for those wanting more golf, we will be heading over to Kiawah Island to play another great golf course.

IMPORTANT – PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO PLAY ANY OF THE DAYS OF GOLF OVER THE WEEKEND AS I WILL NEED TO RESERVE TEE TIMES. SPACES MAY BE LIMITED SO THE SOONER THE BETTER.

If you are not a golfer there is still so much to do if you have any spare time. Downtown Charleston needs no introduction with its historic streets, shops and restaurants and there are also beaches 15 minutes away in Sullivan’s Island or Isle of Palms if you’d like to laze on the beach. Either way, it will be a fun filled weekend.

We look forward to hearing from you very soon and to welcome new, old and returning participants of the tournament to Charleston.

Warm regards,

Galen Le Chemiannt
