Update from Charlotte Squash Club

Last week, Charlotte Squash Club was delighted to welcome 150students from grades 5 – 8 from Charlotte Preparatory School during their PE school sessions.

Assisted by Coach Nosh, we showed the kids what squash was and coached them for 2 sessions of 40 minutes. Of the whole group, only 4 had previously played. We followed this up with a free open house and free clinics and 1 week passes for the families.

We would like to thank the Athletic Director Jason Floyd for setting up the schedule and program and driving the students to and from the school. We had a great week and hope more schools in the SESRA area might be able to provide this type of introduction to squash.

This is the 22nd school club/ group that I have started and I am happy to share any insight into the development of school programs to other SESRA coaches.

And we will be holding an Adults tourney with 1 of these events as USSquash suggests.
