Four weeks ago, 7 juniors from Atlanta traveled up to DC to participate in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Junior Championships. I competed in the GU15 draw, with my friends Keela Boyce and Ami Niksich competing in the GU13 draw, Alex Rankin in BU17, Tommy Rankin in BU19, and Ashwin Mudaliar and Devin Neveu in BU13. We had some great results, with all of us placing within the top 8. Aside from playing plenty of squash, we also explored DC and had a lot of fun.

Last week, Charlotte Squash Club was delighted to welcome 150students from grades 5 – 8 from Charlotte Preparatory School during their PE school sessions.

We would like to thank the Athletic Director Jason Floyd for setting up the … Continue Reading ››
Thank you for being a part of a very special weekend. We saw the continual rise of the juniors as they march through the various skill levels, the outstanding play of home touring pro Reuben Phillips, and many kind touchpoint moments between players, families, friends.
The 2017 DragonDoc, compliments of Dr. Gary Myerson and Dr. Pradeep Sinha, proved to be one of our best “major” events ever.
The play was deep and competitive, and in all cases, sportsmanly.
In the 2016-2017 season, the Westminster Boys experienced the best squash season in the programs history.
The boys’ first trip of the season to Mercersburg Academy ended up with a 9-0 win over MICDS, 7-2 over Canisius, 8-1 over Mercersburg, and a trophy in Coach Byrd’s hand. Personally, playing #1, this tournament posed a challenge, losing 2/3 of our team’s losses.
After handily winning the Mercersburg team tournament, the boys were poised for Nationals some two weeks later. As repetitive as they were, we knew the daily practices of boast and drive, rotating … Continue Reading ››

This was a fantastic effort by all those involved in helping us establish this fundamental framework in our ongoing efforts to assist our juniors. The Regional squads is an invitational event hosted by US Squash for players that are within the Top.100 of the US. 19 players participated over the weekend, 12 of which were our local players from Atlanta.

The 15th Piedmont Driving Club Singles and Doubles Squash Invitational Tournament was held on March 16 and 17th, 2017. The tournament was well organized and ran very smoothly, thanks to the efforts of the PDC staff and their Head Squash Pro, Ahmed Hamza.
Play comprised both singles and doubles, a treat for many competitors, as the Driving Club hosts the only doubles courts in the state of Georgia and region. Double players ranged from novices to those who have travelled the pro circuit honing their skills.
As seems to be the case in … Continue Reading ››
