The U.S. Skill Level Championship was held alongside finals weekend of the 2025 U.S. Open, October 25-26, at the Arlen Specter U.S. Squash Center, as well as the annual meeting of District Leaders of U.S. Squash. As President of Southeastern Squash, Sawyer was able to join several key dialogues focused on growing the game of squash with U.S. Squash executives and staff, including Kevin Klipstein, Linda Elriani, Brian Donaghy, Kara Kardon and Anderson Good. As a bonus, Sawyer and his practice partner Tom Boldt Jr. from the Racquet Club of St. Louis enjoyed a front row view of Friday’s semi-final matches of the 2025 U.S. Open, a PSA World Tour Platinum event.
